1. Assam Rifles recruitment rally will be held at LOKRA, ASSAM, NRS – GUWAHATI and DIPHU, ASSAM NRS-DIPHU from 26 Oct 2015 onwards for enrolment against 574 vacancies of Male for all trades except those earmarked for Female and Female candidates for the post earmarked for them i.e Naib Subedar Staff Nurse, Rifleman Female Attendant, Rifleman Aya/Rifleman Female Safai trades from States for the posts mentioned at Appendix A.

3. Centres for Examination.
Examination Centre :-Lokra, Assam :-Name of States :-Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand.
Examination Centre :-Diphu, Assam :-Name of States :- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura & West Bengal.
Note :- (a) Applications of candidates indicating any other centre other than specified will be rejected.
(b) No change of centre of examination will be allowed under any circumstances.
4. Candidate seeking reservation benefits as Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of reporting for Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test.
5. CANDIDATE BELONGING TO THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CATEGORY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
6. Only a single application will be entertained. Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
7. “APPLICATION FOR ASSAM RIFLES RECRUITMENT RALLY AT LOKRA” or “APPLICATION FOR ASSAM RIFLES RECRUITMENT RALLY AT DIPHU” be endorsed on top of the cover under which the application is being submitted. Besides above candidates applying under compassionate appointment must also endorse "COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENT".
8. Applications will be accepted by post only.
9. MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF RALLY SITES/TEST CENTRE.
10. Qualitative Requirement and Age Criteria. The Qualitative Requirement (QR) for enrolment into aforesaid trades other than compassionate appointment is attached as Appendix B.
11. Cut off Date and Age Relaxation. 1 st Aug 2015 will be the cut off date for all candidates for determining above mentioned age criteria. Upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years to Other Backward Classes and 05 years to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Candidates excluding age limit for compassionate appointment.
12.Physical Efficiency Test (PET). PET will comprise following:- (a) For Male Candidates - 05 Km run to qualify within 24 minutes. (b) For Female Candidates - 1.6 Km run to qualify within 8.30 minutes. (c) No Physical Efficiency Test will be held for Ex-servicemen. However, Ex-servicemen will be required to pass the requisite Medical Examination.
13.Compassionate Appointment. Only Nexts of Kins (NsOK)/dependents of ASSAM RIFLES personnel who DIED WHILE IN SERVICE OR DISCHARGED FROM SERVICE ON MEDICAL GROUNDS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENT. Compassionate Appointment is applicable to only ONE dependent family member. Appointment on compassionate grounds can be made only against Group „C‟ posts i.e candidates under compassionate grounds cannot apply for Hindi Translator Grade –II, Religious Teacher JCO, Staff Nurse, Barrack & Road JCO posts.
14.Written Test. The written test will comprise of paper of 100 marks. Cut off percentage of marks for appointment is as under:- (a) General/Ex-servicemen - 35% (b) SC/ST/OBC - 33%
15.Pay Scale. Pay scale and other allowances will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.
16.Merit List and Call for Training. The candidates who qualify in all respects i.e Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination Test will be placed in merit list depending upon the category wise vacancies allocated to states. Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List. Please note that merely qualifying in all tests does not confirm that candidate will be appointed.
17. How to Apply. Candidates shall submit their applications as per format attached at Appendix C to the address mentioned below. Fee. Rupees fifty only ( Rs 50/-) payable through SBI Challan through Power Jyoti Account No, 35015974955 at SBI, Laitkor Branch, Shillong, Code No – 13883. Fee paid by SBI Challan will be submitted alongwith the application. Fee paid by modes other than SBI challan will not be accepted and the application of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall stand forfeited. Fee will be charged from the candidates belonging to General and OBC category.
